The Wedgwood House Dental Practice collects and processes your personal identifiable and confidential data in accordance with the 2005 NHS General Dental Services contract and the UK Data Protection Act.

All personal data associated with NHS treatments, including any private treatments on NHS patients, is shared with NHS England and their partners under the terms of the aforementioned GDS contract.  Information related to private patients is processed under similar conditions though not shared with the NHS. We are legally required to share all information with the Care Quality Commission and the General Dental Council should they request it.

Wedgwood House may disclose your information with healthcare professionals to protect you from serious harm or when required to do so by court order, in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Our dental software, Software of Excellence EXACT stores your information so we can treat you, and processes it for services including NHS communications, SMS text and Email reminders/recalls, and practice administration (e.g. patient attendance statistics). 

We collect personal data from you in order to action financial payments with the NHS (consented using the FP17PR form) and financial institutions as required by UK and international banking and PCI-DSS law.

Your data is kept secure through our IT systems, as described in the Practice Information Leaflet and Privacy Notice. We retain this information for the duration recommended by NHS and Dental Indemnity Organisations.

In accordance with the DPA and the General Data Protection Regulation we support your right to keep your personal data up to date and, we will record your consent to receive marketing information (by separate form).
